White papers | Cross-functional Collaborations at Samsara
Samsara is a global IoT company and sells its physical and digital solutions into existing and new markets/regions. My role frequently involved collaborating with a diverse array of departments and stakeholders to produce documents tailored for both internal and external audiences. These 'white papers' serve as valuable resources, aiding readers in comprehending intricate topics, addressing challenges, or facilitating informed decisions. Topics ranged from nuanced 'GDPR regulations' to practical guides like 'onboarding drivers to new dash cameras'. Each white paper was a fresh canvas, challenging me to innovatively apply design principles in ways that both represented and elevated the Samsara brand to various target demographics.
Crafting the Samsara Narrative Through Brochures
Brochures are a great way of creating a more in-depth reading format through Samsara messaging. I was able to present more content to help narrate the story to the audience in the best way possible. I created a variety of brochures for both internal and external use cases from ‘onboarding new hires’ to ‘5 ways Samsara is changing fleet management’
Having the opportunity to collaborate with content producers to design, print, and create a tactile finished product is always exciting.
SPACIAL: From Shared Spaces to Establishing a Mark in London
My journey with Samsara began in a single floor within a WeWork space. Today, Samsara proudly stands tall in our very own London headquarters, spanning four expansive, state-of-the-art floors. This meteoric growth provided me a unique opportunity to collaborate with the facilities team and immerse myself in the interior design process. I've had the privilege to infuse Samsara's brand voice throughout our premises, from striking wall murals that command attention to subtle details like bespoke signage and coasters.
Adapting the Samsara Experience: From On-Site to Online
Before the onset of COVID, I collaborated extensively with the event marketing team, bringing the full Samsara experience to life on the road. Together, we developed a diverse range of materials, from brochures and branded swag to white papers and innovative event booths tailored for each occasion. However, in the wake of the pandemic, my responsibilities shifted. Entrusted with leading the events sector, I redirected the focus towards digital avenues, spearheading initiatives like online events and webinars to maintain the brand's strong presence.
